Firm: Compliance Calendar

Firm: Compliance Calendar

*If Firm is interested in the Compliance Calendar of tasks to be preloaded, please contact compliance@risccompass.com
(The Compliance Calendar is not preloaded until Firm authorizes.  Due to the volume of tasks, Compass requires a brief call to customize the list to the specific firm.  Since not all firm's choose to use the calendar, Compass does not want to overwhelm the Firm with additional items for attention)

Compliance Calendar Items (Overview)

  1. Shortcut:  Command Center Dashboard > Calendar Tasks   -OR-
  2. Direct:  Compliance Calendar (Report: Compliance Calendar Items = ALL. Open and Closed)

Edit -OR- Add New Compliance Calendar Item

  1. Frequency: Compass scans all calendar items nightly, and creates new items depending on the Frequency chosen & the Start Date
    1. (Example: If you want a task done monthly, it is best to select the 1st of the month for the start date. This will ensure the task will be created and appear each month on the 1st. If you use the 15th, it will not appear until the 15th.)
    2. **To stop the system from creating additional Calendar Items in the future (based on frequency), DO NOT delete the calendar item, but simply CHECK the 'Do not auto-schedule future dates' box
    3. To Change the Frequency, update the LATEST item
      1. Example, if you have a Monthly task that you want to change to Quarterly, you will Rt-Click > EDIT the latest/most recent item's frequency
  2. Item: Assign the item a title. This appears in reports and PDFs.
    1. Recommended: use a short, to the point title, addtl information can be entered in the Description field
    2. Description: This is for your information purposes only. It will not appear in the PDF detailed report
    3. Direct Link: (optional) Some tasks need to be entered on a website or in a drive/folder. This space allows for firm to add a direct link to that location for convenience
    4. Info Link: (optional) Some tasks are in connection with a rule or requirement that may need to be referred to from time to time. This space allows for firm to add a direct link to that information for convenience
  3. Dates
    1. Start Date: This is the date you want to start seeing it on your calendar as pending, or the date you intend to start working on it
      1. This date controls when Compass duplicates this requirement/item and adds to the calendar, along with the frequency field. (See #1.1 above)
    2. Completed Date: This can be manually entered, or automatically entered in the report when pressing the [COMPLETED] or [N/A - Close Task] buttons
      1. **The Calendar Item status will remain 'open' as long as the 'Completed Date' field is empty
  4. Target Date: This can be left blank, or firm can add the Desired/Goal Due Date -OR- an actual required Due Date.
    1. CHECK the 'Fixed Due Date' if this Target Date is a 'hard' or 'required' date
      1. (This checked box will lock the Target Date, to prevent edits, as well as turn the item RED on reports to bring further attention to the specific requirement)
  5. Consultant Assistance: CHECK [Compliance Assistance] box for any item the firm wishes to request or assign to their Compliance Consultant.
    1. Include any internal notes (will not appear on Item PDF Report), that both you and the assigned consultant or consultant team can see.
    2. Any limitations, required access, delivery expectations, pricing, etc will be defined in Firm's agreement directly with Consultant or Consulting Firm.
  6.  Memo|Notes: (optional) Firm is able to add any details or information, WILL be included in the final PDF report
