Terminating Reps (U5|Next Steps)

It is VERY important to remember to Terminate a Rep in Compass... The info you get out is only as good as the info you put in

Send Rep the required email & copy of U5:

  1. AFTER the Rep has been U5ed in CRD, DOWNLOAD the U5 PDF.
  2. Update the Rep's record in Compass:
    1. Employees > Employees > Rt-Click Rep's Name > EDIT
    2. Add the TERMINATION DATE
    3. Upload the U5 PDF COPY (Step 1)
    4. 'U5 Sent Date': LEAVE BLANK (if you will use button (Step 3) to send)
      1. Manually add 'U5 Sent Date' if information and U5 were manually provided to Rep
    5. UPDATE
  3. Send the Finra Info email + U5 copy
    1. Employees > Terminated Reps > [Send U5 Email] button 
      1. This button will only appear if
        1. the 'U5 date sent' field is empty
        2. the rep is 'Yes' Registered
        3. the termination date is entered
        4. there is a 'personal email' on file
      2. The wording for the email will appear, before the email is actually sent
      3. You will be added as a CC in the email, so that you have a copy of it being sent for firm's records
      4. U5 Date Sent will automatically be added to the Record


Remove Compass Portal Access:

  1. Employees > Terminated Reps > [REMOVE PORTAL ACCESS] button 

Review any Additional Access that needs to be Revoked/Removed: (IF Firm utilizes this module)

  1. User Access Checklists > Rt-Click Rep's Name > EDIT
